For those of you who asked for more photos, here they are. Here’s a shot coming out of the Presidio on my way home.
Here’s my old house, not as colorful as it used to be. I was in the top-right and Nancy was in the middle-left.
Here’s one of the thingsthat hasn’t changed in 9 years. This car wash is EXACTLY the same, except older.
The cheapest gas station in town is in the heart of the Castro, where the rainbow is always flying.
This is a secret park I found a few blocks from work. There’s a narrow sidewalk off the street that leads to two park benchs and a small overlook. From here you can see the whole Bay. Here’s a slice of it.

Brad–
Greetings! Nancy sent me this link and, I have to tell you, I so enjoyed reading your blogging, your musings–and viewing the photos! I really felt like I was having a conversation with you–even though I wasn’t talking. (Strange how this world of virtual communication can work . . . ) This is good stuff. And your descriptions are fabulous–so picturesque (perhaps I’m biased to “good writing,” though–especially after reading so many horrific freshman English papers in my college grading . . . )
Glad to hear you are back in San Francisco and that you love it so much. Can’t wait to check back in and see what other photos and such you add.
And “The Grumpy Chair,” eh? Nice. Nice. Don’t know how terribly accurate it is (I’ve never considered you the “grumpy” type)–but we all have moments of, well, “grumpiness”; I’ll concede that!
